Costume Collage

For this online costume design workshop with Ivania Stack, we were given a short story written by a contemporary author in lieu of a script. We were encouraged to use collage as a method to brainstorm and share ideas about costumes for the characters in the story. My online research led me to create several mood boards with images and notes to illustrate my design concepts. The story featured only three characters, but they represented very different attitudes and stations in life. Weaving was an important element of the story, which provided a jumping-off point for some significant costume pieces.
