Still Life Photos & Video

When my favorite writer — Lev Grossman, author of The Magicians trilogy — announced a music video contest in connection with the 2012 launch of his new book and it’s theme song, I was inspired to participate. But rather than focusing on the music, my enthusiasm centered on creating interesting visuals. While the details of these complex still-life photos may not be recognizable to those who haven’t read the books, they nevertheless form a compelling series of evocative and mysterious images.
